Candidates that are technically/mechanically inclined, motivated, and customer service orientated are preferred. An Individual to be considered must understand this position encompasses a responsibility to become knowledgeable and educated in the Industry. This also involves Prompt Customer Service such as Answering Phone Calls, Emails, and Text. Additionally, Procurement, Quotes, and Inquiry Management is Involved.

R&A Industries Inc., a family-owned and established company in New England, is currently a one location Hydraulic & Industrial Hose distributor for many Manufacturers. We have a Short-Term Goal of Opening our 2nd Store to better Service the Region. Beyond Hose & Fittings, R&A Industries offers other products that pertain to the Construction Industries such as Ground Engaging tools, Petroleum products, Tools, Safety Equipment, and other commodity items.

Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

  • Receive and Process customer Phone, Email, or Text orders in a timely manner. Procure pricing & availability request information based on company stock levels, as well as Factory Stock levels.
  • Sell the Represented Line and Products to Customers by Price Inquiry, Processing Orders, and Quoting- While also offering Technical and Application Knowledge, Order Solicitation, and Product Suggestion/Promotion.
  • Process Jobs from the Quote Stage to Order Acknowledgement and Invoicing.
  • Process Price and Availability Request with a Variety of Manufacturers and Vendors- Additionally, hold responsibility to Process Purchase Orders for these Manufacturers or Vendors.
  • Process Rush Orders that may require Next-Day Airs, Courier Service, or Delivery.
  • Process Returns or Exchanges for Customers.
  • Run Reports for Open Orders on Customer Accounts. Run Reports for present Stock Levels within Company Facilities or Owed Back orders.
  • Work Hand-In-Hand with Outside Sales Team to prospect Business Leads, Process Orders & Transactions, Identify Availability, and Create Solutions- Ultimately focus on creating the Best Customer Experience.
  • Schedule In-Shop Team Members with Fabrication, Processing, or Shipping of Jobs. Ensure Receiving of Product is executed from In-Shop Team.
  • Construct personable and positive relationships with customers and offer them the highest quality service, information, and support in relation to product questions, needs, purchases, etc.
  • Be willing to expand upon product knowledge and show increasing levels of interest via questions, literature reading, or additional training opportunities/classes.
  • Be able to develop skills with Computer System that is in place. Enter Orders, Quotes, Purchase Orders, & Price Updates.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Customer Service Orientated.
  • College/University Associates or Bachelors Degree is required. Any Technical or Vocational Certificates or Degrees is preferred and considered a bonus.
  • Background in Mechanics, Automotive, or Hydraulics Industries Preferred, not required. Competitor experience is welcome as well.
  • Be Motivated to learn quickly and become proficient with Warehouse Systems and Products.
  • Computer skills.
  • Authentic attention to detail. Communication skills, proper appearance (company apparel & dress codes required), and customer service care/support required.
  • Proficient Sales support and efforts to improve company image, success, and growth. Create self growth personally.
  • Ability to Lift up to 50lbs.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Base Salary with Commission & Sale Growth Bonus structure.
